Sölktäler Natur Park

With its total area of 288 km2 the Sölktäler nature park offers more than 40 peaks over 2 000 meters, 23 mountain lakes, 10 waterfalls, 25 cultivated Alms and 24/7 peace and calm.

 
The Sölktäler is one of the largest natural parks in Styria. It has breathtaking protected areas like the marble cave of Sölk or its picturesque lakes such as the Schwarzensee, the largest lake of the Niedere Tauern.

The name "Sölk" originally means "fluent water" which comes from the great abundance of water in the region.
