The Murau Tour is a nearly 204-kilometer tour that is the perfect choice for those who not only like to ride a motorcycle, but also want to enrich themselves with cultural and natural experiences along the way.

The tour starts in Spielberg and takes bikers through the most beautiful regions of Western Upper Styria for about 203.7 kilometers. On the way, we can overcome more than 2,600 meters of altitude difference, while the stunning landscapes of the Niedere Tauern mountains, mountain lakes and historical sights alternate.
The three-hour journey time is of course only a guideline. Due to the countless stopping points, it is worth dedicating a whole day to exploring.
The most beautiful stops on the route
The tour leads from Spielberg to the Lachtal Valley via Fohnsdorf and Oberzeiring. Here it is worth taking a short break at the crystal-clear Gellsee lake. On the next section, we pass through Oberwölz, St. Peter and Schöder and arrive at the Rottenmanner Teich, which is ideal for a short walk. The tour then continues towards Tamsweg and then to Murau, where the famous Brewery of the Senses offers a special program for those interested.
Culture and history
The Murau Tour is not only about motorcycling. In the village of St. Lambrecht, the centuries-old Benedictine abbey and its well-kept gardens await visitors. From there, we continue to Judenburg. The town's most famous attraction is the Star Tower (Sternenturm), which houses one of the highest planetariums in the world.

One of the most exciting stops for motorcyclists is undoubtedly the Puch Museum in Judenburg. The legendary two- and four-wheeled vehicles of the former Austrian manufacturer invite visitors on a nostalgic journey.
