The Judenburg Sternenturm Planetarium (also known as the Judenburg Planetarium) is located in Austria's highest city tower, right on the old main square. The tower is 75m high, about 500 years old, and can be reached by a glass elevator - a unique experience in Áz, with the glass floor of the elevator even running through the structure of the bell tower.
The planetarium is one of the leading in Europe: it has a modern Zeiss star projector and a digital projection system, which allows 3D films to be shown in the dome - up to 7,000 stars, the Milky Way and galaxies can be displayed lifelike.
The shows are followed by live presentations by experts, which present the current starry sky in Styria. The programs include child- and family-friendly programs, science films, music shows and even special events such as birthday screenings or weddings under the dome.
